Tony Talks! – Q&A with CPHR BC & Yukon’s CEO - CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19 SITUATION
Being a member of a professional association means different things to different people.
As the CEO, with a team of over 20 staff and 100’s of committed volunteers, we strive to connect and meet the needs of members.
Join us for an engaging discussion along with food and refreshments with the CEO of CPHR BC & Yukon, Anthony Ariganello, CPHR.
Tony will begin with a presentation and then open the floor for questions. It’s the perfect chance to catch up on CPHR BC & Yukon’s strategic priorities and plans for future growth. He is also the CEO for CPHR Canada and will touch on national initiatives.
We will also recognize our 20+ year members.
Anthony Ariganello became CPHR BC & Yukon’s CEO in 2014. For the previous 11 years, he served as president and CEO of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada), a self-regulating association of 75,000 accounting professionals and students. During this period, CGA-Canada achieved international recognition as a leading accounting designation. Previously, Anthony was president of Montreal-based Avon Canada, and also held senior-level financial positions including that of controller at Nortel Networks.

In keeping with the latest update from the Public Health Agency of Canada and BC Health Officials, the risk of COVID-19 within British Columbia remains low so we will be proceeding with meetings and events at this time. In order to help reduce the chances of spreading the flu virus and to protect our staff and members, we ask that you avoid attending in person should you be ill or have flu-like symptoms. Please cover your coughs and sneezes with your sleeve. We will continue to ensure there are handwashing stations at our offices/venues and ask that wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Please note we are implementing a no-handshake, no-hugging policy for attendees. TIP: While this may be awkward in practice, here’s a line you can use: “So happy to meet you, but sorry we have to skip the handshaking in order to keep everybody safe. How about the ‘elbow-bump’ instead.” We will continue to monitor the situation and we will notify our volunteers and members of any changes as necessary. We thank you for your diligence and cooperation.
