Professional Mentoring Program - Virtual Mentoring Network Session - Proactive Virtual Proteges (Online)
Date: March 10, 2020
Proactive Virtual Proteges
This session is for members who have been accepted and matched in the 2019-2020 Professional Mentoring Program (PMP) and primarily for those who live/work in locations where local mentoring events are not available.
Proactive Virtual Proteges is a virtual roundtable discussion developed to support mentoring pairs who communicate with each other primarily through tools, such as video calls, phone calls and emails.
This is a peer learning event with a focus on the following topics:
• How have you worked towards success?
• Separation Anxiety
• Changing excuses into actionable items
Discussions with participants will be facilitated, and a respectful space for open dialogue and reflection will be maintained.
Speaker - This session will be facilitated by Tania De Ridder, from the Greater Vancouver Mentoring Sub-committee. Tania is an Entrepreneurial Specialist at the BCIT Student Association. She presented at HR Conference + Tradeshow 2019’s smart stage on “Mentoring Matters in the Future of Work: Why You Should Be a Protege or Mentor in Your Local HR Community”.
She has a strong passion for connecting people, ideas, and resources. Tania has participated in CPHR BC & Yukon’s professional mentoring program for three years both as a mentor and a protégé.
Meet Tania as she shared her mentoring experience!
Online - You will connect to this meeting by Zoom Meeting video call or by phone. Although participation over the phone is available, we encourage to attend meetings via videoconference as important information is shared on screen during the meeting and also for the most engaging virtual experience.
5:30pm - 6:30pm: Facilitated discussion
This event is free for professional mentoring program participants, but pre-registration is required.
Registration Deadline is March 9th.
Register now to avoid disappointment as the number of participants is limited.
