Topic: Links between EDI & Emotional Intelligence
In this session, participants will explore links between equitable, diverse and inclusive environments and strong emotional intelligence.
This session will focus on understanding EI, how it is intrinsic to D&I and will offer some tangible takeaways participants can implement in their personal practice and workplaces.
Guest facilitator: Serena Morphy, CPHR,SHRM, HR consultant and Culture Strategist.
Karen Larsen is the Human Resources Manager for the UBC Department of Surgery, where she provides HR leadership and service to faculty and staff. She is a student of Diversity & Inclusion and explorer of different cultures for many years. Karen has completed the Certificate in Intercultural Studies, UBC Extended Learning and has worked as a facilitator with CUSO International for more than 13 years.
