Mental Health Leadership - Developing a Vision for 2021 and Beyond
(Please note, this topic replaces the previously posted topic of 'Long Term Staff Capacity Planning' which could not go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances).
Mental Health Leadership is highly relevant in the midst of a global pandemic and a massive shift in how people do their jobs. Living in today’s world is not easy and HR managers continue to adapt to new cultural norms & increased mental health illnesses in the workforce.
This Roundtable will discuss a practical framework and leadership skills for anyone working with people. It will look at evidence-based and industry best practices, showcasing organizational leadership to a mentally healthy environment, understanding ethical & business concerns, anti-stigma cultures etc.. Positive outcomes can include improved mental health, lower rates of absenteeism, higher levels of engagement, lower benefit plan costs and greater productivity.
This session will be an interactive discussion about this topic for all participants. Bring your experiences and questions to the table for a rewarding peer discussion facilitated by David Rojas.
David Rojas, B.Mgmt, GBA, CPHR Candidate - David has been involved with many projects locally & abroad where he discovered his passion for helping people and the importance of building healthy & supportive organizations. He graduated from the UBC with a Business Management degree, and completed the Workplace Mental Health Leadership program through Queen’s University.
