Mentoring Minds Want to Know

What would happen if more leaders used their superpowers to build future leaders? In this time of social, economic, and environmental uncertainty, it’s a joy and a relief to regard change as an opportunity to build the future.

Leaders have mentors. Steve Jobs had Bill Campbell, Mark Zuckerberg had Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey had Maya Angelou,  Lady Gaga had Elton John and the list goes on and on. While the relationship between mentor and protégé depends on their unique personal relationship, understanding the foundational elements of a mentoring program is a necessity.

During this session, Joanie Clary* & Dr. Raeleen Manjak** will reflect on the origin of the City of Vernon’s Mentoring Program, the challenges & opportunities that were revealed, and the elements of success to date. A key takeaway will be to understand this powerful professional growth tool. Now is the perfect time to explore the positive impact a mentoring program can have for your organization!

It will be an interactive discussion about this concept for all participants. Bring your experiences & questions for a rewarding peer discussion.
