Job Searching During Difficult Times
With all the uncertainty in the present economy, individuals are wondering what is next for them with their career. Whether you are facing reduced hours, temporarily laid off or let go, it is a difficult process to endure. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some companies are still continuing to hire. This session will provide you with some strategies and suggestions on how to equip you better during this time period and for when the economy turns around. We will provide insights on how to mentally cope throughout the job-hunting process, tips on how to identify and work towards your next career progression during this time period.

Jabeen Boga is an experienced Human Resources professional with over ten years of progressive experience across a wide variety of human resources functions that include employee relations, performance management, change management, HRIS, health and safety and total rewards. In addition to this, she is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional with responsibility for offices that span across Western Canada.
Jabeen earned her undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University obtaining Dean’s Honor Roll Standing. Jabeen has worked for some large organizations including KPMG, TD Bank and is currently employed at a large hospitality company. Jabeen is also part of the Ashton College faculty instructing the Diploma in Human Resources Management program. As a recipient of HRD Canada’s 2015 and 2017 HR Awards, she is excited to share her experience and passion for the field of human resources with you.
