Description:Face to Face – In Real Life – gather, connect, build - this is an in person event!
Join your HR colleagues at a HR Meet Up – an in-person gathering in your own neighbourhood.
These events are informal gatherings at a location chosen by your Community Ambassador(s) see your Community Ambassadors below – it might be a coffee shop, a patio, a park or a community boardroom.
There is no cost to register (pre-registration is requested) and both members and non-members who are working in the field of people and culture/HR can join in. Attendees are responsible for their food and beverage or activity fees, if appropriate.
Community Ambassadors
 A passionate and down-to-earth Human Resources/People Professional and Leadership Coach, Theresa Henriksen, CPHR has a particular strength in supporting Leaders to understand and apply positive people-practices to drive teams to excel, develop individuals' careers, and strengthen their own leadership effectiveness. As a long-term participant in CPHR’s Professional Mentoring Program, past Co-Chair of the Vancouver Island Advisory Council, and advocate for CPHR membership, Theresa’s career spans 20+ years over a variety of industries, with the common thread of caring for people and making a positive impact with her colleagues.
An
innovative team member, leader, consultant and mentor. Shelley Carlson, CPHR loves the
dynamics of HR and says effective staff make for an effective business. She thrives on translating business vision and mandates into realistic HR
initiatives that improve performance, profitability, and employee
engagement. By
partnering with stakeholders and empowered teams, she maintains focus on
human capital being the organization’s greatest asset. Shelley is a
genuine influencer who engages in tough challenges that have invariably
translated visions and strategies into actionable, value-added goals.
