This Community of Practice is designed for HR professionals working in the dynamic and fast-paced world of construction. Together, we’ll tackle real-world challenges unique to the industry—everything from workforce shortages and safety culture, to project-based employment and union relations. Let’s do a group collab on solutioning. Bring a problem to discuss, and we’ll work collaboratively to explore practical approaches and fresh ideas. This is a trusted space to share experiences, gain insights, and build connections with peers who understand the complexities of construction HR. Whether you’re looking for innovative strategies, tested best practices, or simply a sounding board, this CoP is here to help you strengthen both your role and the industry as a whole. Communities of Practice (CoPs) are industry-specific learning groups that bring together people-focused professionals from across BC and the Yukon. Open to both CPHR members and non-members working in the field, CoPs offer a space for connection, shared learning, and professional support. Each CoP is co-led by volunteer members and a Member Relations Manager, with an emphasis on confidentiality, collaboration, and community building. Regular virtual sessions are supported by a private LinkedIn group to extend conversation and resource sharing between meetings. Communities of Practice are part of CPHR BC & Yukon’s Professional Engagement offerings.
