This month's Forum Hosts:
Marguerite Behringer, CPHR is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience across diverse roles, industries and geographies. Marguerite also lived and worked in Germany for seven years, contributing to the success of Compaq Computer (acquired by HP) and Intel in their EMEA headquarters, where she gained invaluable insights into cultural nuances and operating within a highly matrixed environment. With over 19 years in People and Culture at TELUS, Marguerite currently serves as a Director leading strategic talent and cultural transformation initiatives.Her notable achievements include leading a performance development program that earned a gold award from the Brandon Hall Group and positively impacted 25,000 team members. She holds an MBA from the University of Victoria and actively contributes to the HR profession through the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources organization. After supporting CPHR Coastal Vancouver's Mentoring Committee for nine years, she now co-chairs the Strategic HR Forum, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing emerging HR talent and shaping the future of the field.

Janine Bourque, CPHR's career in HR has encompassed employee relations, total rewards, organization transformation, change management and policy development working in both the private and public sector. She has been a proud member of CPHR BC & Yukon for over 20 years and has her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. She is currently the Director HR Business Partnerships at the City of Vancouver.
About the Strategic HR (SHR) Forum
Strategic human resource (SHR) management involves a future-oriented process of developing and implementing HR programs that address and solve business problems and directly contribute to major long-term business objectives.
The SHR Forum will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage with peers and discuss timely and relevant SHR business issues both online and in person. The SHR Forum will meet virtually six times a year and host one or two in-person regional dinner event(s) in Vancouver, Victoria, Whitehorse, Langley, the Interior and North. Meetings will be on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. A private LinkedIn group connects members between meetings.
The Strategic HR Forum is an application-based group within CPHR BC & Yukon for Members only and is open to members who are presently working as a:
- Director Level and above HR Professionals who are strategically focused and responsible for people and culture strategy within their organization.
- HR Consultants who are focused on delivering executive-level strategic advice/support to organizational and people strategies.

This Forum is open to CPHR BC & Yukon approved members only. There is no cost to attend.
