CPD Hours: 1.5
The Coastal Vancouver Networking Committee invites you to join them for an evening of HR in action where you can network and learn over the discussion and collaboration around an HR case study.
The session will open with a welcome and an icebreaker followed by an introduction to the topic and case study at hand. We will use breakout rooms to form teams where you and your team members will come up with a proposed solution to report back to our guest facilitator/judge.
Prizes will be awarded to the team with the best solution to the issue at hand! Space is limited for this event so register early to avoid disappointment.
The case study topic for this event will be: Harassment in the Workplace.
Our guest judge and facilitator is: Lisa Southern, has conducted hundreds of workplace investigations since she focused her law practice in this work in 2009. From privacy issues, human rights, harassment and workplace health and safety, she has navigated the province to investigate complex workplace complaints, or guide employer’s through environmental scans and training designed to improve workplace culture. Her ability to decipher the complexities of human dynamics at work into certain findings and provide practical, creative recommendations makes Lisa a sought after resource for both Employers and their counsel in this unique area of work. In addition to conducting workplace investigations, Lisa is often appointed by parties to serve as an arbitrator, or mediator.
