Pharmacogenomics - First Evidence to Action 
 

This session will cover:

  • Overview of the science behind pharmacogenomics testing, and how it may impact patient outcomes; 
  • Results of GSC’s recent pharmacogenomics clinical study; 
  • Role that pharmacogenomics can play in benefit plans with the ultimate goal of optimizing drug therapy and improving patient health;
 
 
Guest Facilitator: 
 
Shelley Lamont from Green Shield, focuses on business development for GSC in BC. Shelley has 30 years of experience in the group benefits industry, over 25 of these years being at GSC. 
 
 
Shelley
Sarah Arsenault  from Green Shield, focuses on business development for GSC in BC. She has 20 years of experience in the group benefits industry.
 
 
 
With their passion for health and dental benefits and delivering on promises, Shelley and Sarah are responsible for growing GSC in BC. As Business Development Managers, this dynamic duo loves sharing their knowledge and experience to deliver innovative solutions for plan sustainability and help achieve GSC’s mission of improving the health and well-being of plan members.    
 
 

 

Roundtable Host:

Heather Stewart, CPHR, CCP, is a passionate total rewards professional with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and holds a Certificate in HR Management from BCIT, her Certified Compensation Professional Designation (CCP) from World at Work and the CPHR Designation. As Director, Total Rewards with First West Credit Union, she thrives on change and cares about bringing out the best in individuals and in the programs where she has expertise: Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Recognition & Reward, Health & Safety, and Labour Relations.  Currently, she is a volunteer with CPHR BC & Yukon, Delta Sungod Swim Club and Crossroads United Church providing monthly complimentary community dinners to individuals in need.


Roey Nevile, CPHR is Total Rewards professional with over 14 years of experience in Human Resources and currently, she is Assistant Vice President, with Aon Health Solutions. Specializing in employee benefits, she works with clients of all sizes and industries with commitment and an innovative approach. Roey has a BA in International Relations from UBC, A PD in Human Resources Management from BCIT and holds he CPHR designation and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Designation (CEBS).
