This is a Community of Practice for individuals responsible for supporting the HR function in the Retail Industry.  Learning events are held quarterly and an online community is available on slack for ongoing networking.

Kick-off of the Brick and Click Community of Practice for Retail HR: 
 
At the session, retail HR professionals will discuss the purpose of the Retail Community of Practice, plan collaboration activities for the rest of the year, and share their key learnings/surprises from the managing through COVID-19.

Elena Bobyreva
 
Elena Bobyreva, CPHR, is  an HR leader with 15+ years of progressive advisory and implementation experience in retail, medical, academic, and construction industries. As an HR Director at Glentel Elena leads a team of talented HR professionals in delivering an exceptional service to the retail and corporate employees. Elena is an active member of the Vancouver HR community. She enjoys participating in mentorship programs and leading HR roundtables.
 
 
  
Laura Wait
 
Laura Wait, CPHR, is an HR professional with over 15 years of HR leadership experience across various industries. She is passionate about implementing HR programs and strategies that support business vision, specializing in organizational transformation, talent management strategies, HR metrics, and change management. Her expertise includes leading, coaching, and developing employees, fostering a collaborative environment where people are engaged and empowered to perform. In her current role of Director of HR for Trail Appliances, Laura is focused on strategic leadership, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
