How to Use Talent Assessments for Hiring (Vancouver)

Studies show that approximately 90% of workplace problems are caused by human factors, and more and more organizations are now looking at how personality, attitude, and values drive on-the-job behaviors. "How to Use Talent Assessments for Hiring" is a half-day facilitated course for leaders trying to enhance their culture, improve employee engagement, and increase profitability by decreasing absenteeism, turnover, theft, fraud, violence, property damage, injuries, and more.

In this fun and interactive course, participants will learn how to interpret and use specialized psychometric assessments for identifying top-performing employees. The course empowers people with practical skills and knowledge of the key personality default settings and work values essential for "fit" with a role. Successful participants will earn the CTA (Certified Talent Assessor) designation accredited by CPHR BC & Yukon.        

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  1. Predict future work style, behaviors, and performance of new hires, thereby maximizing your "Quality of Hire" metric.
  2. Conduct a job analysis to create a competency matrix, benchmark top performers, and create "ideal hire" profiles for screening applicants.
  3. Rate new applicants with a quantifiable, objective, and defensible scoring methodology
  4. Create tailored behavioral interview questions and reference-check questions which are specific to each applicant’s profile.
  5. Know how to best coach, motivate, and lead a new employee based on that person’s unique personality.

Natalie Souresrafil, MSc. Occupational Psychology, B.A. Psychology
Natalie Souresrafil is an Assessment and Training Specialist at TalentClick Workforce Solutions Inc. Natalie holds a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of London. She has been a trainer and consultant for a number of organizations in construction, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality and more. She has published a number of articles on the subject of personality, safety, management and training in journals such as American Infrastructure Magazine, Bloomberg News, Organizational Behavior and Human Performance and others. Natalie is a member of the British Psychology Association and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and has delivered customized training programs and workshops internationally.
