Supporting employees with mental and emotional issues became more challenging in the midst of COVID 19. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, “During the pandemic, about 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder, a share that has been largely consistent, up from one in ten adults who reported these symptoms from January to June 2019 .” In addition, political strife, economic uncertainty, social isolation, and family issues exacerbated workplace mental health. In this roundtable, we will examine how employees have been impacted, and how employers need to create a safe space to support them.

In  2019, David was named one of the “Top 3 Healthcare Leaders” and in 2021, was awarded the National Disability Inclusion Award.
