Topic: Key 2018 workplace & human rights decisions - Full event - Cancelled  
Heather will present and discuss key 2018 workplace and human rights decisions from courts, tribunals and arbitrators and provide practical takeaways for employers from each decision.

Speaker: Heather Hettiarachchi from Integritas Workplace Law Corp.  
Heather Hettiarachchi, LLB; MSC; CPHR, advises unionized and non-union employers on all matters relating to labour and employment. Heather’s practical experience in labour and employment includes managing human resources at the University of British Columbia and acting as Labour Relations Advisor to Vancouver Community College. Heather is passionate about workplace integrity and focuses on educating clients on utilizing best practices to avoid/minimize workplace conflict.

In addition to providing legal services through her firm, Integritas Workplace Law Corp., Heather is a workplace mediator and investigator. She also provides employers with general human resources support."
Roundtable Leader: Kyle Lee, CPHR & Laura Wait, CPHR.
Kyle is the People & Culture Leader for FYidotors, a privately owned Canadian success story. In this role, he supports the Ophthalmic Laboratory operations in the full range of People & Culture activities.
He has extensive HR experience with a variety of Fortune 500 enterprises. Kyle has been an active participant in the Richmond / Delta Roundtable for many years.
Laura is an HR professional with over 15 years of HR leadership experience across various industries. She is passionate about implementing HR programs and strategies that support business vision, specializing in organizational transformation and talent management strategies. Her expertise includes leading, coaching, and developing employees, fostering a collaborative environment where people are engaged and empowered to perform.
Laura is currently the Director of HR for Trail Appliances. She is very excited to co-chair the Richmond / Delta roundtable, where she hopes to help facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise among fellow HR Professionals.
