Prioritizing Professional Development

Learning and development for employees is centre to their engagement and experience at an organization. Come learn about one organization's implementation of a fulsome professional development program - primarily centred around external learning - over the past six years. Amber Brown, CPHR, will chat about what worked, what didn't, data points, key learnings and future plans.

Guest Facilitator: Amber Brown, CPHR, is currently the Director of Human Resources at Consumer Protection BC. As an HR-Team-of-One, Amber handles all aspects of an employee's journey during their time at Consumer Protection BC. Her primary focus in this role is fostering a balanced approach to enhancing employee engagement  and achieving people-related strategic objectives. That looks like developing engagement strategies to support learning and development, cultivating positive relationships with labour relations partners and working directly with leadership on creating opportunities to enhance connection at all levels of the organization.
