Giving and Receiving Feedback
Welcome to the mid-point of the VI Professional Mentoring
Program. This event is suitable for mentors and
protégés to attend as
matched pairs or to come as individuals.
Feedback is truly the 'breakfast of champions' - it's one of the most powerful and effective ways to gauge if you're 'on track' and how best to make improvements. From strengthening personal relationships to enhancing workplace performance, feedback is an essential ingredient for success.
Join us in this informative workshop that will focus on giving and receiving feedback, with a special focus on the mentoring relationship. Discussion will include the pros and cons of feedback, understanding different types of feedback, setting the stage and how to give and receive effective feedback. We'll also explore challenges related to the feedback 'context' (e.g. situational issues, communication styles, cultural norms) and how best to take action once feedback has been shared. And if you're wondering, there will be lots of opportunity to practice some of suggested strategies and approaches.
