Managing Short & Long Term Disability can be a huge challenge and understanding the disability renewal process can be a mystery. Join us as we unpack the difficult world of managing disability programs.

This hour is not for the disability dabbler – it’s for those who want a deeper dive for the MORE and the BEST that your leaders are expecting of you.

We will explore the untold carrier angles, learn the complex underwriting arrangements, clarify confusing definitions – then give you creative program structures, claims management solutions along with active tools to help manage these critical programs.

PLUS! We will be explaining how the current state and COVID-19 pandemic impact on claim trends is ongoing.

In this presentation, you will learn:
  • Understand the impact of Covid 19, current disability trends and new technology and strategies for minimizing disability costs without reducing the employee support for when they need.
  • You will become a walking disability dictionary!
  • Gain a full understanding of how Short & Long Term Disability Programs can be structured – hopefully perhaps better than your current plan. Pro’s / con’s of self-insuring / salary continuance.
  • Obtain a full understanding of how insurance carriers make disability claims decisions along with how the carrier’s renewal process works.
  • Learn how to manage complicated claims.
Who should attend:
  • HR Professionals responsible for Disability Management
  • HR and Finance Professionals responsible for Group Benefits
  • Everyone who is interested in becoming fully proficient as they support and / or lead their organization’s WCB, Short & Long Term Disability programs
