December's Topic: HR Trends in 2022, and How to Refocus for 2023

The HR field has continually learning to adapt to changes in political, economic, technological and of course, employee changes. As HR professionals, we are incorporating these changes into our organizations through new or updated policies, practices and programs. Join our guest facilitators for this final Roundtable of 2022 to hear what they’ve noticed in 2022 as major changes, and how we can refocus for 2023.
 

 
Roundtable Guest Facilitator: Michelle Precourt, CPHR, is an HR Consultant and Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator with Mindful HR Services Inc, based in Squamish, British Columbia. Along with offering traditional HR consulting services, Michelle and her team offers mindfulness at work programs driving engagement, productivity and employee retention. In addition to studying various yoga and meditation teachings, Michelle’s educational highlights include: University of Manitoba, Certificate in Human Resource Management, Royal Roads University, Neuroscience in Leadership and Career Professionals of Canada, Certified Work-life Strategist.
 
 
Roundtable Guest Facilitator: Melissa Anderson, CPHR, is a Senior National HR Business Partner with Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management supporting several business units and over 600 employees.  Along with her business partner role, Melissa is focussed on creating cross-functional teams within Schneider Electric for broad impact including co-creating and leading the Sustainability and Distributed Sites Strategy for 20+ sites across Canada. Most recently, Melissa was the HR Lead for their Canada COVID-19 Crisis Management Team and Return to Office - Hybrid Work Strategy. In addition to her time with Schneider Electric, Melissa spent three years with AbeBooks, an Amazon company. She has led HR teams and organizations through pre and post merger integrations, organizational redesigns, and cultural transformations. Melissa is one of the CPHR Environmental Sustainability Roundtable Hosts, holds a Diploma in Business and HR from Camosun College and her MBA from Royal Roads University.
 
Roundtable Host: Meredith Campbell-Jess, HR Consultant and Executive Coach at TallSky Consulting Group, has a background in learning and training, with over 20 years' experience in both private and public sectors. She holds Graduate Certificates in both Executive Coaching and Strategic Human Resources Management from Royal Roads University. Meredith specializes in supporting managers, executives, professionals, and teams focus on opportunities to foster positive change in themselves and the organizations they are part of. Her holistic and empowering approach brings clarity, direction, and positive support for her clients. Striving to find innovative possibilities, she loves helping people find opportunities for success and growth, with an ultimate end goal of satisfaction and success for all involved. 
 
 
Roundtable Host: Jackie Connelly (she/her), CPHR, Manager, People & Diversity at Doctors of BC has been recognized and awarded by her peers as an integrity-driven human resources (HR) professional. She began her career in HR in 2012 at Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE), then advised leaders and managed both change and the development and delivery of HR strategy in a multi-union environment at BC Transit, and is now in a People & Strategy leadership role at Doctors of BC. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from UBC and a Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management & Leadership from Camosun College. Whether through equity, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, recognition, policy or change management, she believes in being a champion of change and enhancing employee experience as the foundation to organizational success.
