Topic: Positive Conflict Resolution
Every workplace has conflict. We all see it, and at some point, we all feel its impact.
Effective conflict management is an essential skill for every leader and employee and is especially important in the human resources field. When harnessed productively, conflict can be a force to build both company culture and competitive advantage.
During this interactive roundtable we will:
- Examine the components of effective conflict resolution
- Discuss why people fear conflict and explore default conflict response styles
- Review approaches to effectively response to the emotional content of conflict
- Discuss hot buttons, triggers and strategies for diffusing anger
- Review strategies to facilitated improved understanding and collaboration
Kathy is an accomplished leadership facilitator and HR consultant passionate about building positive workplaces. She has 20 years of experience in private, public, and non-profit sectors.
Kathy believes you don’t get the culture you want; you get the culture you deserve. She works with individuals, teams and organizations, to get focused on culture, through the design and delivery of high-impact people programs.
She has held senior human resources positions at several global organizations, and her work has taken her to all parts of the globe, including the US, Canada, Europe, South America, Trinidad, New Zealand, and Egypt.
Clara is an energetic experienced Human Resources professional. She is passionate about organizational behavior, change management, talent acquisition & employment relations. She proudly holds her CPHR designation and works for Capilano University serving a high performance work culture.
