Topic: Departure Day Guidelines for HR Practitioners
At one time or another, most organizations face the prospect of releasing employees.
Departures can be difficult to navigate as managers and HR practitioners strive to treat the employee fairly and with respect, while acting in the best interests of the organization.
In this session, we will cover best practices for handling employee departures.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of:
* Planning for termination meetings, including location, timing and scripts
* Preparing termination letters
* Coaching the manager
* Handling emotional reactions
* Recovering the organization's property
* Ensuring the employee have a safe departure from the office
