This workshop is an essential primer to ensure a fair outcome for those handling human rights complaints. It covers:
  • The human rights tribunal process
  • How to prep a file for a human rights tribunal hearing
  • The elements of a hearing and hearing procedures – opening statements , cross examinations, etc.

In this presentation, you will learn:
  • How to paper a file in preparation for a human rights complaint
  • How to prepare for a human rights complaint
  • How to conduct a human rights hearing, including opening and closing statements, direct and cross examinations and written submissions

About the presenter:
Andrew Schafer advises clients on a variety of labour and employment matters, including labour relations, human rights, workers' compensation, wrongful dismissals, unjust dismissals, employment standards, compensation and pension and benefits issues, and business immigration. He also prepares various labour and employment agreements such as employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants, return to work agreements, and workplace policies. Mr. Schafer also assists with various corporate transactions by advising both purchasers and vendors on labour and employment due diligence matters.
