CPHR BC & Yukon has partnered with headversity to offer the Workplace Mental Health Certificate Course to our community.

Participants may attend each part as a stand-alone course or complete all three webinars as a full certificate course. Pre-requisite is not required.

A certificate will be awarded for completing each part of this course.

Forever Changed: The Impact of COVID-19 on Workplace Mental Health
Speaker: Dr. Ryan Todd, CEO - headversity
It goes without saying the pandemic has had a lot of negative impact on the workplace. But one positive development of COVID-19 has been the resurgence and prioritization of workplace mental health programs. How has the pandemic changed the programming modalities? What trends emerged that have helped organizations during this time? This session provides you an overview of how the landscape has been forever changed in the workplace.

Prevention: The New Frontier of Workplace Mental Health

Workplace mental health has undergone a paradigm shift in the past year. A study from TELUS revealed more than 75% of employees have said they have struggled at work due to anxiety caused by the pandemic, with 80% saying they would consider quitting their current position for a job that focuses more on employee mental health. Mental health is now a total workplace issue, and companies are looking for ways to build a strategy that permeates through the entire organization. This session examines the mental health brand shift, how employers are moving towards prevention, and the benefits an upstream, preventative strategy can bring organizations.

Building Back Optimism in Your Workplace

Speaker: Tahira Jamani, Client Engagement Manger and Mindfulness Expert - headversity
With light at the end of the tunnel for COVID-19, there’s a sense of optimism that a return to normal is on the horizon. However, the effects of the past year plus are still being felt across organizations and employees and will be for some time. This session explores ways to build optimism in your workplace to improve morale and overall productivity.

This series is recommended for Senior Level+ HR professionals who are looking to evolve their corporate mental health strategy in light of the growing demand brought onby COVID-19. It’s also recommended for organizations who are looking to digitally transform their mental health approach and learn new industry trends.

About the speakers:
Dr. Ryan Todd Dr. Ryan Todd is a psychiatrist and technologist, founding the workplace mental health and resilience platform, headversity. His work at headversity brought together a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and educators to build an industry-redefining platform that is setting the new standard for workplace mental health, working with some of North America’s largest and leading employers. Dr. Todd is also an award-winning documentarian, a Top 40 under 40 recipient with Avenue Magazine, a published researcher, and the host of the popular HR podcast, "Beyond the Checkbox". Through headversity, Dr. Todd envisions shifting mental health out of the back-logged system and into employees’ hands through personal resilience training.
Tahira Jamani Tahira Jamani is our Client Engagement Manger and Mindfulness Expert. She is passionate about making mindfulness and resilience practices relatable and accessible to the business community. Tahira has a Bachelor in Management and Organizational Skills specializing in Human Resources from the University of Western Ontario. She has completed training at Berkeley University in the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Program, the mindful based leadership program that was developed at Google. She has also completed two 10-day silent meditation courses. With her HR and business operations background, she integrates a unique strategic perspective with regards to developing resilience & human performance.
