Event Summary:
An HR Community Showcase:  Onboarding and Training for Complex Technical Positions at the River Rock Casino Resort
Centrally located in Richmond, and close to the Bridgeport Canada Line station, River Rock Casino Resort is an internationally recognized leader in the gaming and hospitality industry.  They offer guests numerous food, hospitality, and gaming
options; and are sought out by many applicants to be members of the River Rock Casino Resort team.
Many of the positions at the River Rock Casino require a high level of skill and technical training. Often, candidates who apply have little experience and proficiency in these specific and technical skills. Alongside the onboarding process provided to new
employees, the River Rock team has to ensure each new hire is trained at a high level to ensure the service they provide to their guests meet the standards required of the resort.
Because of this challenge of not only having to onboard but also provide technical training, the River Rock Casino Resort has created an onboarding and training program which not only provides their team members with the opportunity to develop key competencies, but it also acquaints them with the gaming and hospitality environment quickly and efficiently. While this training is specific to the roles offered, their tried and proven practices can help any organization looking to onboard new employees into complex, technically skilled roles.
Join us for this exciting HR Community Showcase where you will learn about how the River Rock Casino team engages new employees utilizing many best practices in onboarding and learning development including candidate selection, training, and orientation.
Presenter: Cameron Schmierer
