In May 2019, the Provincial Government introduced a number of amendments to the B.C. Employment Standards Act. In the presentation, we will walk through a number of these changes, and discuss what they mean, and how they affect your business.
In this presentation, you will learn:
- About the expansion of job-protected leaves
- About the increased enforcement powers of the Employment Standards Branch
- About increased protection for employees who are terminated
- About how changes to the Act will have an impact on unionized workplace

About the presenters:
Brandon Hillis is a lawyer at Roper Greyell, one of Western Canada’s largest and most well-respected labour and employment law firms.
