Be part of the third annual HR Student Summit from CPHR BC & Yukon!
 
This is an opportunity for all HR focused students and new graduates from across BC & Yukon to come together virtually, learn from successful HR professionals and propel your future HR careers forward. You will gain career advice, learn real-world HR skills and what it takes to develop into a thriving HR professional.
 
Hear from alumni who are HR leaders and rising stars. They will share advice, knowledge and hacks to succeed in today’s ever changing work environment.We are delighted to bring you these subjects and presenters:

Angela Champ, CPHR.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources - Alpine Building Maintenance
Passionate about lifelong learning and inspiring others to achieve their best potential, Angela Champ is a human resources executive and author of "It Depends: Employee Relations Case Studies for Human Resources Professionals and Students," and "The Squiggly Line Career: How Changing Professions Can Advance a Career in Unexpected Ways.” Named twice on the HRD Global 100 HR Leaders, she has a BA degree in Political Science from UBC and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Royal Roads University. Angela teaches for the University of Calgary's continuing education HR Certificate program.
 
Jackie Connelly, CPHR.
Manager, People & Diversity – Doctors of BC
Jackie is an integrity-driven human resources professional who began her HR career at Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence. She then advised leaders and managed both change and the development and delivery of HR strategy in a multi-union environment at BC Transit. She is now in a People & Strategy leadership role at Doctors of BC. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from UBC and a Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration, HR Management & Leadership from Camosun College. She believes in being a champion of change and enhancing employee experience as the foundation to organizational success.
 
Kaymen Low, CPHR.
Senior Recruitment Client Lead - Amazon Web Services
As a Senior Recruitment Client Lead at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kaymen he partners with engineering & product leaders to establish go-to-market recruiting strategies & operational excellence, while leading a team of recruiters across Americas. Previously, Kaymen spent many years recruiting for tech start-ups, in which he built the recruiting infrastructure & processes. He kickstarted his career as an HR Generalist and has successfully pivoted into the Specialist route where he thrives on talent analytics & branding that underpins successful hiring. Kaymen holds a BBA in HR Management & Marketing from the Beedie School of Business at SFU
